How do I know if my wheels need balancing?

Wheel balancing makes sure that weight is evenly distributed around the wheel unit, and if becomes unbalanced you may notice:

• Vibration in the steering wheel, or under your feet and seat, particularly at faster speeds
• The tyres wear down quicker than you’d expect
• You may be using more fuel

Balancing wheels is a fairly straightforward procedure at North Cornwall VW Centre; we attach really small weights to the wheel to spread the weight out more evenly. We have the expertise, and the kit at our workshop in Wadebridge, to balance your wheels and ensure you enjoy a smoother ride.
